St. Henry Parish: A Legacy of Faith and Beauty

Since 1873, St. Henry Parish has stood proudly along Court Street, a cornerstone of community and worship. The journey to its current Romanesque Revival church began in 1905, replacing the original frame structure. On June 4, 1907, Archbishop John J. Glennon officially dedicated the magnificent new edifice.

Treasures Within
Step inside and marvel at the stunning stained glass windows, crafted by the renowned Jacoby Art Glass Company of St. Louis around 1910. These life-like works of art illuminate the sanctuary with breathtaking beauty.

In the summer of 1924, three new bells—cast by Struckstede and Brothers of St. Louis—were installed in the bell tower, adding their resonant tones to the parish’s heritage. By 1936, the church introduced a two-manual pipe organ, built by the Wicks Organ Company of Highland, Illinois, perfectly framing the glorious rose window of St. Cecilia.
